The Season draws to a close…

Another season is behind us… bitter sweet as always.  We are so fortunate to have so many guys that are not simply our hunters but are true and special friends.  We get so use to seeing you during the season and we truly miss your company once the season is done.  Thank you so much to everyone!  This year proved to be an exciting and challenging one… 70 degree weather and crazy winds… all to wrap up with welcomed shifts in temperature and wind direction.  Despite mother nature the hunting was great and the time spent even better!  We are already planning and looking forward to 2013-2014… Can’t wait to see everyone again!!

Fall Drum

We gathered up our buddy Mike and slipped down to Oriental, NC to get in on the drum bite with a great friend and fellow charter captain Richard Andrews of Tar-Pam Guide Service… Thanks Dickie!!!!!  What a blast!! Double digit catch and release action with several close to 50 inches!!!  Fall is the time to capitalize on these awesome fish… fantastic fun and wonderful weather always come together this time of year to create an incredible experience… don’t miss out – these fish won’t stick around long!

This day my good friend Paul Boyce and my dad joyned me for an early season teal hunt..There had been some birds around but we werent quite sure how it would go…We ended up with a great hunt and a great way to start the 2012-2013 waterfowl season…We are booking duck hunts now so please give us a call…  252-395-1907

The Fistful has continued to chase the Spanish, Blues, and other nearshore species with some fantastic folks this week…. lots of fun and great fishing for everyone!  A big thank you to all our groups!!  We did have a day off at the end of the week and were fortunate enough to be able to go Offshore with an awesome friend and fellow hunter/angler to get into a little Marlin action!  Thank you so much Mike!!!!!  What a great day!

More off the charts action!!!  What a nice class of fish! 🙂  We had a fantastic group today that did an amazing job getting these fish to the boat… pretty work everyone!!!!

Back to the beach today with a fantastic near-shore crew…. Thank you all so much!!  A great day for Spanish and Blues… Our crowd did an awesome job bringing in dinner!!

We took a break from the near-shore scene and headed offshore with the rest of the fleet and private boats to participate in the Alice Kelly benefit tournament today… always a great time!!  Tons of fun and supporting a great cause all at one go 🙂  Thanks to Tiffany, Holly, and Shanna for joining us to participate in this all women’s tournament!!  We didn’t get into the billfish bite like we were hoping to but in true Fistful style brought in some meat and had a ball!!  The Pirate’s Cove Billfish Tournament is going on all week… everyone is always welcome to come down, walk the docks, and be a part of this annual event!!

This week has been WET!!  Yet despite the crazy weather our groups have been ready to bring home dinner and have a big time in the process!!  Great job everybody!  A huge Thank You to Rich and crew for a great day trip today and sending over the pictures… you guys are awesome!!  Have a great vacation and we hope to see you soon 🙂
