Late Summer Fishing!

What an amazing last few weeks!!  Tons of fun with awesome groups!!  Congrats to BB on his 44th species caught to date… Yay Sailfish!!! (technically 3 sailfish! Way to go kiddo!!!!).  Our Alice Kelly Girls… Our Atlanta + home crowd… our Martinsville Fam… our crew from Suffolk… J Mont in the house… And everyone else!!!  Thank you so much everybody – you rock!!!  Dolphin, Tuna, Wahoo, OMG the Sails Wohoo!!!!  And a huge shout out and thank you to our PCBT crew – What a fantastic week full of ups and downs and all the thrills a tournament brings!!!  You are awesome!!  We are rolling through these last weeks of fishing then on to the birds!!  Give us a call if you want to get out there before we change gears… Let’s go Fishing!!!

Summer Fishing Outer Banks Style!!

The summer is rolling by with lightening speed!!  What a great last few weeks – way to go everybody!!  Fantastic groups and awesome fishing!!  Every day is different – Dolphin, Tuna, Wahoo, Billfish, Tiles… even found the RED DRUM on the way in one day for some catch and release action Whoa!!!!  Congratulations to everyone on all your fish – a special shout out to little Josie on her first trip offshore and her very first dolphin!!  Way to go kiddo!!  Another shout out to JH’s group for their 162 pound YELLOWFIN Tuna!  The second largest Yellowfin caught on hook and line known to be brought into Oregon Inlet on record.  Pretty work!! Check out the Sicklefins on that beautiful fish.  Thank you so much to all of our groups – you guys and gals rock!!  We have days open starting August 20 – until then it’s FISH FISH FISH!  Give us a call – Let’s get out there before summer fades away!

A giant Happy Independence Day to everyone!!  The 4th came and went with tons of fun and fishing with family and friends!! 🙂  Thank you Liz for making “the boys” take this day every summer to celebrate 🙂  Soooo much fun and yummy food and awesome company!!!!  Back to work for the rest of the days… Fantastic groups make what we do crazy fun!!!  Thank you everyone!!!  Tuna and Dolphin with Bills mixed in!!  FISHING HAS BEEN FANTASTIC!! Summer fishing continues to be HOT!!  A few weather days and the boys are back at it again… Great groups and great fishing are the best combination!!!  Our Boat Builder’s Tournament Team had to change plans at the last minute which has suddenly opened us up several days this week – Give us a call if anyone is interested… an awesome opportunity to slide in on some great fishing!!!

A huge Thank You to all of our charters this season… you guys/gals/and youngsters ROCK!!  What an awesome summer with tons of fantastic folks… thank you all!!  We wrapped up the last few days with yummy Mahi and now this is the time of year the FISTFUL gets a rest as we turn our attention to the birds.  Busy building, bushing, scouting, and prepping for our winter gang.  We will be back in the ocean mid-May… looking forward to seeing everyone in the Spring!!

Thank goodness the wind finally settled a bit… after several weather days waiting out the noreaster we were able to get back at today with our ace tuna crew – pretty work guys!!! The crowds before the blow chased dolphin, billfish, tuna, tiles and more plus our young offshore angler  (7 years going on 30) proved yet again that he may be small but he be mighty… Awesome job kiddo!! (As always!!)  Summer is here and so are the fish!  Give us a call – it’s time to get out there!!!

  

It’s Waterfowl Time!!!

It’s that time of year again!!  Another Thank You to all of our anglers for a fantastic fishing season!!!  We wrapped up October with a few final Tuna trips, an awesome short duck season (quickie 4 days in October), a last minute trip out west to get our minds right for feathers, and final (never ending lol) prep for the DUCKS!!!  The November season has started and will wrap up after Thanksgiving… then the big season is here!! A huge Thank You to our groups so far – always a blast and always so much fun to kick off waterfowl season with you guys!  We will be back to fishing in the Spring… Remember inland fishing for ROCKFISH cranks up in the Spring and we will start chasing COBIA in May!!  Happy November to all!!!

What an unexpected situation we have all been thrown into since our last post.  A HUGE Thank you to all of our First Responders, Medical Personnel, essential business employees, grocery staff, Military and all the rest out there working to keep things rolling.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in this different reality we are all working with and we look so forward to the light at the end of the tunnel – it is getting closer and closer every day!!

 

What about April fishing??  It has been phenomenal!!  TUNA has been the main fare with some mahi mahi mixed in and even a blue marlin already!!  Charters and Commercial Fishing have been limited on the Outer Banks but both should be picking up the pace rapidly as our visitors are able to come back to see us – the COBIA are getting close so we are all ready to get back to the water!!  Some sightings are starting towards Hatteras which means they are on tract to get to us early to mid-May… just in time to Spring haul the Fistful, Wrap up Turkey season, and finish up farm projects!!  Anyone looking to get on the books for the summer please give us a call – our calendar is continuing to fill up and we will certainly accommodate anyone needing to change or cancel a trip if need be.  Don’t hesitate to call or email if anyone has any questions or needs any information.

 

Meanwhile… it’s Spring Turkey season and project time!!!  Enjoy this time with your family – it’ll be back to business as usual before we know it.  We can’t wait to see everyone and don’t forget to support your neighbors and local small businesses as best you can…  See everyone soon!

 

      

Summer Fishing is here!!

The season is in full swing! Variety is the name of the game for this year’s start… Cobia, Mahi, Drum, Spanish, Kings, Tiles, Blues, even a Puffer and already seeing some billfish (jumped off a sail yesterday)!  The weather has been awesome and the fishing equally enjoyable… Thank you so much to everyone for getting this year rolling with so much fun!!  Give us a call if you want to get out there… it’s time to go fishing!

     

Winter Catch Up!

We have had one of the busiest and most fun winters!  Exhausting but crazy rewarding, super fun, non-stop and never a dull moment 🙂  A huge thank you to all our hunters… you guys are family to us and we cannot tell you enough how much we appreciate and love you!! We miss everyone already 🙁  We kicked off the season out west and then got down to business back home with waterfowl, upland game hunts, winter boat maintenance and continuing construction on the new lodge (completely restored 1850 farmhouse…almost 3 years of work and finally getting to the end!).  Our lodge is scheduled to be up and running for turkey season and we are really excited to stop building and start enjoying it!  Upland Game Preserve Season continues until the end of March and we have had a blast starting up this new adventure!  We had a soft opening last season and with private hunts this year we are well on our way – we still have some availability this year of anyone is interested in getting some shooting in before it’s back to the water… Fishing will start rolling next month with inland Rockfish and we start chasing Turkeys in April… then… COBIA season!!  We are starting to fill days in May and June for the Fistful so please give us a call if you have days you want to save… it won’t be long before the winter is gone and sunny warm fishing days return!!
