Great nearshore action continues up and down the beach..Bluefish and spanish mackeral make up most of the catches with a drum here and there and an occasional cobia and shark appearance.Great family fun and its super easy to enjoy..Here are a few more drum pics.

Our crowd from Louisa VA got to see fishing that is you had to be there fishing this afternoon…After setting out looking for meat in the shallow water I realized that I had to make a change. Our bites where non existant. So off we ran into the ocean to see what was happening..Shortly after crossing the bar we heard the word of a drum bite off the beach..Hard to turn down BIG FISH on a half day so we made the run to the school of fish that was quite impressive. They where hungary as well and gave us a perfect afternoon. We released 20 to 25 citation red drum in the 15 to 40 lb range on spinning tackle..I think everyone was excited to see all the pandomonium that sight casting to fish on top brings..We really enjoyed it guys and we appreciate you..

June 30th am report

We had a great group along today from Michigan for a 6 hour trip which allowed us to head south where we found the spanish mackeral the previous day…We headed down the beach some 12 to 14 mileas to find the water we were looking for. When we did get there it was not yesterdays bite but it was still plenty of action for our crowd. They did a great job banging out a nice catch of spanish, blues , and bonitas..Thank you guys. We had a blast..
