A huge Thank You to all of our charters this season… you guys/gals/and youngsters ROCK!! What an awesome summer with tons of fantastic folks… thank you all!! We wrapped up the last few days with yummy Mahi and now this is the time of year the FISTFUL gets a rest as we turn our attention to the birds. Busy building, bushing, scouting, and prepping for our winter gang. We will be back in the ocean mid-May… looking forward to seeing everyone in the Spring!!
Apologies to all for the lack of posts…. it has been a busy few weeks!! We have had so many awesome groups and tons of fun!! A HUGE HUGE thank you to our PCBT Team with a special shout out to our Alice Kelly Girls!!! You gals rock!! The girls placed first in the Boat Decorating Contest and weighed in the 2nd and 3rd place tuna!! The boys had a fantastic showing during the main tournament finishing up 15th in a field of over 100 of the world’s best fisherman and boats – Way to go guys!!!! The rest of the offshore days have been full of TUNA, DOLPHIN (MAHI MAHI), TILEFISH, BILLFISH, and even a quickie tower stop to visit our old friends the AJs! Thank you again to all of our anglers!!! You are what makes what we do so special!!! We will be fishing a little deeper into the season this year before we make the jump to the birds… our last trips are scheduled for the beginning of October. We still have a few days open so please get your day if you are ready to get out there… LET’S GO FISHING!!
A quick catch up… other than a couple of weather days and an awesome 4th (what a gorgeous day to celebrate Independence Day!!) we have been chasing offshore fish non-stop! Fantastic fishing continues with Mahi Mahi, Tilefish, Billfish, and even some tuna still around!!! A huge thank you to all our groups – you guys and GALS rock!! This Thursday opened up last minute (July 15) and we have a few spots left the following week for both Offshore Full Days and our Nearshore Half Day (5 hour trip – Perfect for a family trip!) It’s time to fish… Let’s go!!!

Mahi Mahi has been the main course for us this past week… we had a few weather days and then a super nice class of fish with several citations!!! CONGRATULATIONS and a huge thank you to everybody!!! Lots of bill fish sightings and the TUNA are still around as well plus our first token Barracuda!! (Ceviche time!). A big shout out to our young anglers as well… it is tons of fun having the kids with us and getting the next generation hooked on this craziness is one of our passions! Give us a shout… it’s time to fish!
Our hot summer months have slipped into cool Fall mornings, crisp Carolina blue skies, and continued awesome fishing! The weather kept the Fistful at the dock several days the last month (definitely a sign of fall!) but that just gave us a good excuse to get some work done on our renovation projects for the lodge (Thank you Brandon and KB for all the help!!) and slip out for some of the BIG Red Drum!! (Pretty work E and Congratulations to Chip and the boys!!!!!) As October approaches we look forward to more consistency from mother nature and are already seeing our tuna show! This is also the time of year we begin our transition into waterfowl season… Geese and Teal for September with Duck Season soon to follow! A bittersweet time… we hate to stable the Fistful but are so excited for the next season!!! We will be fishing through much of October and have some days open for anyone looking to get out there!… The Blackfin tuna are here and the Yellowfin are typically close behind. Give us a call!!
HOT weather and HOT fishing!! Offshore and Nearshore trips have both been fantastic… super fun groups and a ton of action! Looks like mother nature is going to give us a little break from the insane heat and get down right pleasant… the perfect time to get out there. We have a few spots open next week… give us a call before they fill up!
As we are winding down our season the Nearshore action is ramping up! Our Spanish Mackeral are snapping and the bluefish have shown up… super fun trips and awesome eating fish! Our 4 and 6 hour trips are targeting these species and still watching for the Drum and Cobia… great for kids and a beautiful way to see the Outer Banks… We have a few spots still open the next 10 days then we change seasons… let’s go fishing!

As we roll on through August we have had a variety of fun this past week – Our kick off was the Alice Kelly tournament – always a blast and what a great cause! The marina was buzzing all week with the Pirate’s Cove Big Game Tournament – Congratulations to all the teams!! We had Nearshore trips for Spanish and Blues – Tons of fun for the kids! And our Offshore trips were spent chasing down the Dolphin and Tiles… YUM! Thank you so much to everyone!! We have a few spots open in the next few weeks before we change gears and start chasing ducks… Give us a call to get in on all the fun!!

A huge Thank You to all our anglers the last couple of weeks! Pretty work everybody!!! OFFSHORE FULL DAY trips are finding Dolphin (mahi mahi), Tiles, Sea Bass, Triggers, and more plus our Billfish are starting to show up!! Our 4 and 6 hours groups are after Drum, Mackerel, Cobia, Ribbons, Shark and even a Rattlesnake!?!? You never know! The weather has been awesome all summer until several days ago – Mother Nature kept us at the dock for a few days but she is straightening back out now and it’s time to go!!! Thanks again everybody…. always a blast to fish with all our anglers!! A few days opened up for us this coming week – give us a call and join in on all the fun!
Lucky to have this 1 , he was not hooked very good..Fish was really green and Casey ripped him over the side as the bucktail popped out of his mouth.Fish made our morning .We will take it..
