Congratulations to a great friend on his turkey quest in New Hampshire!! Mother nature sometimes doesn’t cooperate but a driving rain didn’t stop the hunt… tough and patient perseverance resulted in the taking of a beautiful 22 pound gobbler with a 9 inch beard and 1 1/8 inch spurs…. Pretty Work Dan!!!
What an amazing season!! We can’t thank our guys enough for all the fun and fantastic hunts this spring!! What a great way to spend this time of the year… time in the woods and time with good friends – it really doesn’t get any better… Thank you so much to everyone!! This spring season is going way too fast… just 2 more weeks left! After years of leaving his gun in the truck and working so hard to call gobblers in for everyone else… the boss decided to take one for himself this season. A 500 pound black bear completely sabotaged the first hunt of the morning… chasing off the birds as they were headed straight to the call (That’s the second hunt his spring to be foiled by a bear!)…. Karl wasn’t taking any chances with the next opportunity 🙂
This spring season is proving to be a productive one! Lots of beautiful birds out there doing their thing…what an incredible display to witness! We are so thankful to be able to spend time in the woods during this gorgeous time of year… and to watch mother nature at her finest is an amazing bonus…

We had 3 fantastic young men today… It is such a joy to see our youngsters love the outdoors! One responsive gobbler was chased off by a 300 pound black bear who wandered into the hunt, obviously curious about the call and determined to check everybody out up close… a fantastic sight to see (although a little unnerving!) but not very conducive for a successful hunt 🙂 Lots of turkeys around and very active during this warm spring!! Congratulations to Daniel for getting this great bird… Jimmy and Bobby – no worries… the season has just begun! Thank you every body for a wonderful start to spring turkeys!!
We have a handful of days left for the spring turkey season 2012..Just wanted to post a few pictures from last year..Also the sound striped bass fishing is great right now and we have time available during the weekdays.
Its no secret that NC has the best swan hunting wintering grounds in the lower 48..Five thousand permits per year are issued.It is quite beautiful to watch these graceful flyers decoy..We are even lucky enough to kill a few snow geese while we hunt them some days..Albemarle Outfitters still has 100% success on swan hunts every year and we still offer no kill no pay hunts for swan..Here are some pics from this years swan hunts.Notice the one picture with the swan flying in the background..
We have been in Hatteras since the 29th of April..Fishing has been great..Some days the conditions have not been as they would normally be but non the less we have had a great all around spring..We will be in Hatteras until June 3rd..We will then return to Pirates Cove for the summer where we will be nearshore fishing for spanish mackeral , bluefish , triggers , cobes , red drum , and amberjack…Please give us a call anytime to book a trip..If we are not available someone in our charter fleet will be and we will make arrangements.
