We are rolling through June and variety is the theme so far! Tuna, Dolphin (Mahi), and Billfish (Blues and Whites so far!) with the occasional Wahoo thrown in!! A huge thank you to all our awesome Fistful anglers… Way to kick off the summer!! July is filling but we have some days still open here and there – get on the books if you want to get out there and Let’s go Fishing!!!
Apologies to all for the lack of posts…. it has been a busy few weeks!! We have had so many awesome groups and tons of fun!! A HUGE HUGE thank you to our PCBT Team with a special shout out to our Alice Kelly Girls!!! You gals rock!! The girls placed first in the Boat Decorating Contest and weighed in the 2nd and 3rd place tuna!! The boys had a fantastic showing during the main tournament finishing up 15th in a field of over 100 of the world’s best fisherman and boats – Way to go guys!!!! The rest of the offshore days have been full of TUNA, DOLPHIN (MAHI MAHI), TILEFISH, BILLFISH, and even a quickie tower stop to visit our old friends the AJs! Thank you again to all of our anglers!!! You are what makes what we do so special!!! We will be fishing a little deeper into the season this year before we make the jump to the birds… our last trips are scheduled for the beginning of October. We still have a few days open so please get your day if you are ready to get out there… LET’S GO FISHING!!
A quick catch up… other than a couple of weather days and an awesome 4th (what a gorgeous day to celebrate Independence Day!!) we have been chasing offshore fish non-stop! Fantastic fishing continues with Mahi Mahi, Tilefish, Billfish, and even some tuna still around!!! A huge thank you to all our groups – you guys and GALS rock!! This Thursday opened up last minute (July 15) and we have a few spots left the following week for both Offshore Full Days and our Nearshore Half Day (5 hour trip – Perfect for a family trip!) It’s time to fish… Let’s go!!!

What an amazing start to this season!! TUNA has been the talk of the town for OFFSHORE trips plus MAHI MAHI and even some BILLFISH already! NEARSHORE trips are finding Spanish Mackeral, Kings, Bluefish, and the forever favorite COBIA!! A huge THANK YOU to all our anglers – as always you make our job so much fun!! Plus a giant CONGRATULATIONS to all of our Junior Anglers!! Awesome kids with tough arms, tons of heart, and already addicted to fins!! We can’t wait to see you again soon! 🙂 We have openings starting the first week of July – Don’t miss out! Let’s go Fishing!!!
The last 2 weeks have been full of great fishing and amazing charters! We have had a number of young anglers lately and what an impressive display of ability and enthusiasm from all of them – Every one of our kids jumped right into the fray and man… you can’t slow them down. Some are new to the game and some are already well on their way to becoming pros (B. Boys – you know who you are!!) – Awesome job everybody!! One of our goals is to create an experience for them (and their adults) that will turn into a life-long passion… it really gets your heart fired up to see that spark. Thank you so much to all our groups – Grown-Ups and Youngsters! *** A huge Thank You goes out to Capt. Jim on the HogWild and Capt. Troy on the Fowl Hooked for helping us juggle some of our groups during our unexpected quickie haul out and to all the gang down at Bluewater for pulling together and getting us up and running again – JP – we owe you… as usual!! Thank you so much…. I wish I could have seen you on that lift!! ***
Last but not least – we do have some days open for the next few weeks – the Fistful gets a break starting September 17th this year so let us know if you want to get out there before we turn to the ducks! The Billfish are starting to show… the dolphin are here on the Full Day trips… the Big Drum are hanging around… the Mackerel are snappin… the blues are snappin…the Jacks are snappin… the weather is beautiful… Let’s go Fishing!!
Another sure sign of spring…. time in the yard!! The Fistful is up and the boys are hard at work prepping for the fast approaching Summer season. A fresh coat of bottom paint, barrels of elbow grease, lots of love and tons of wax 🙂 We’ll spend a couple of weeks again in Hatteras this year beginning May 12th – Days are filling fast so anyone interested in fishing out of Hatteras please let us know as soon as possible!
Had the Corbo boys with us again today as well as Tony Corbos girlfriend..She’s never been fishing before today..Pretty good first fish for her catching a white marlin..We ended up with three whites and 3 nice dolphin.Thats a white and a dolphin for everyone..Clean fishing there folks.Thanks guys can’t wait for next time…
We had the rare opportunity to get to spend the day with one of our most special friends….Thank you so much Charles!!! Karl and I don’t get much chance to actually fish with each other these days… We don’t know how to act being back in the cockpit together! One of the best days ever 🙂 10 Whites!!! With unbelievable weather and sea conditions and incredible company… there is nothing that would have made this day any better. The marlin are still here… Now is the time to go if catching one of these marvelous creatures is on your list!!
First billfish of the year..A white marlin..Had a blue one hooked for a bit but he was on the wrong pole..Ended up with a nice catch of gaffer dolphin and some pretty yellowin tuna..Happy to be fishing..
